This is up for debate. The Lebron VII? Really. It's a dope shoe but I don't think it deserves a 1. The Air Yeezy #10? smh

Top 3 Sneaker Pick Ups of '09

Well yeah these were the best of 'O9 for me. Let's be realistic here...
Nike Air Yeezy- This shoe by far was the craziest release this year next to the Space Jams. I mean come on. When one of the top rappers in the game puts out a shoe under Nike you know sneaker enthusiasts such as myself are all over it. It's a crazy shoe. A fusion of many different great shoes from Kanye's innovative imagination. Wow. Good Shoe, comfortable, and a neck break for the years to follow.

Nike SB "Resn"- Another anticipated release by Nike. Back in '05-06 nike released the Gucci SB sample. It was rare. About 20 or so pairs were put out. A pair at Flight Club is about $3500. Pretty insane right? There was speculation on these being a QS sometime in November. That came to reality. The hype on these was pretty high. I went to blades in soho where they only got about 12 pairs. First in line. I got my size 9. :D

Finally...

Air Jordan XI "Space Jam"- The month of December couldn't go by any faster for fellow sneakerheads. The release of the Space Jam XI was on the horizon. People wanted this shoe. People who never collected or liked Jordans scooped these up. Why? The shoe is legendary. The 11 itself is a legendary shoe. Lines everywhere for these. Although being a GR, these sold out about every where. Sort of reminiscent to the XI release in 2000. Not as bad but similar. Footlockers broken into, tight security measures, and fights. All you can wish for in a shoe. These by far were the most anticipated and go down in history as pretty much one of the best. I luckily scooped two pairs a week before for a few extra bucks. It was worth it. Plus seeing my father's face on Christmas when I got them for him. Priceless.

One Year AGO...
